Amplimmune, Inc. is a biotech company focused on translating novel, proprietary immunologically-based therapeutics into the clinic.
Amplimmune is seeking a highly talented and creative immunologist to join its Research team as a Scientist. This individual will develop and
execute cell-based functional assays to demonstrate the activity of protein therapeutics and characterize their mechanisms of action using
animal models and ex vivo assays.
A Ph.D. in Immunology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field plus at least 4 years of additional research experience is required.
Expertise in developing and running cell-based assays for immune cell proliferation, differentiation, signal transduction and functional readouts
is essential; experience with human primary cells is especially desirable. Proficiency in monitoring immune function and response in vivo
and ex vivo, using methods such as IHC, flow cytometry, and multiplexed cytokine analysis, is critical. A background in pre-clinical and early
stage clinical development of immunomodulatory therapies and experience in biomarker discovery and validation is preferred. Experience in
optimizing and conducting animal models of autoimmune disease or cancer is a plus.
The successful candidate will be a skilled experimentalist who designs and executes experiments, analyzes data, solves problems, and plans
follow-up experiments. The ideal candidate will also propose and direct new projects, advance collaborations with outside investigators,
and serve as a mentor and supervisor to one or more research associates. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, teamwork,
and desire to work in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary, and collaborative environment are essential. This is an excellent opportunity for
