The Amplimmune costimulation/immune checkpoint inhibition portfolio provides unprecedented flexibility and versatility in modulating immune responses. The portfolio encompasses many of the B7 family members and patents covering their use as agonists to enhance costimulation or the application of antagonists to block members that induce inhibition (i.e. checkpoints).
In addition to the molecular targets currently encompassed within the Amplimmune portfolio, ongoing gene discovery programs are continuing to define additional receptors, ligands and pathways that regulate costimuation and inhibition of T cell responses. The cellular and molecular approaches that defined the core set of Amplimmune molecules are defining additional promising targets. This discovery program is being carried out in parallel with the development of the core technology portfolio.
